Palm Beach County Council of PTA/PTSA Hosts Awards and Recognition Program


Jeans and Jewels was the theme of the County Council of PTA/PTSA’s Awards and Recognition Program this year. The jeans acknowledges the hard work contributed by each of the units and members;  the  jewels are symbolic according to President Jen Martinez.  “We felt the jewels reflect that each of the 58 units is a precious jewel in the fabric of our schools and community,” she stated.  “ Collectively the units are  comprised of over 14,000 PTA members who  volunteered well over 330,000 hours this year– valued at over 6 million dollars.”

The Council thanked and recognized all units for their membership and wonderful programs and events they hosted for their members.  These wonderful volunteers do not host local programs to garner recognition for themselves, but to help parents and the community realize the importance of their participation in every child’s education. 

The event is a way for the Council to say Thank you to the local units for displaying incredible teamwork and supporting the mission and purpose of PTA.  The following awards were presented (some previously announced):
