CHAMPION GOLFERS ALLAN KOURNIKOVA AND ALEXA PANO FEATURED IN AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY, PALM BEACH COUNTY STUDENTS SHINE ON THE COURSE AND SILVER SCREEN

The recent documentary The Short Game, which won awards at both SXSW and the Maui Film Festival, features eight of the best junior golfers in the world. Two of these petite athletes are students at Palm Beach Virtual School: Allan Kournikova begins his day at Palm Beach Public, and Alexa Pano spends half her day at Citrus Cove Elementary. Both students complete their time with Palm Beach Virtual School, allowing them time in the afternoon to dedicate to their sport.

While these golfers are just seven years old, there is nothing miniature about their game: the documentary details their participation in the Kids’ World Championships at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. Truly an international event, children from 54 countries took to the links to earn this coveted trophy.
