Palm Beach Gardens High FBLA, Dycom Industries bring happier holidays to Grove Park Elementary

PBGHS FBLAPALM BEACH GARDENS – The Future Business Leaders of America at Palm Beach Gardens High School recently teamed with Dycom Industries to spread some holiday cheer to 350 children at Grove Park Elementary School in Palm Beach Gardens.

The students and representatives from Dycom Industries arrived on Dec. 11 with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus to hand out a toy and clothing item to 125 students in kindergarten through second grade, gift cards to teachers and cookies for all of the students at Grove Park Elementary.

In previous years, Palm Beach Gardens High’s FBLA had given gifts to Grove Park’s kindergarten and first grade students, but a donation from Dycom Industries allowed the group to expand their generosity to Grove Park’s second graders. The Palm Beach Gardens High students and Dycom Industries took great pride in choosing the perfect gift for each child. They also were able to buy gift cards for teachers and cookies for the rest of the elementary school’s students.

After the FBLA members and Dycom Industries representatives arrived at Grove Park, they split up and visited 21 different classrooms, where they played games and did arts and crafts projects with the elementary school students. Santa delivered gifts, and each student received a photo with the jolly old elf.

“At the end of the day, the FBLA members of Palm Beach Gardens High School and many employees from Dycom Industries left feeling overwhelmed and forever changed because they know they left a lasting impression and made a real difference in the lives of the students at Grove Park Elementary,” said FBLA advisor Tammy Skinner. “We are all looking forward to next year and want to thank Dycom Industries for joining us this year.”
