Media Advisory: Adolescent Depression Awareness Program Scheduled for Monday

LAKE WORTH- Please join us for a lecture about child and adolescent Bipolar Disorder, Depression and Anxiety Disorder, presented by the Johns Hopkins’ Adolescent Depression Program (ADAP).

The parent workshop presented by Dr. Karen Swartz of Johns Hopkins is part of a multi-year partnership between School Counseling/School Services, John Hopkins and the Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation and associated with training for high school teachers, school counselors and school psychologists.
Swartz, a mood disorders specialist, will discuss mood and anxiety disorders in young people. Topics covered will include characteristics, symptoms, prevalence and treatment. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
All parents and adults are welcome. This program is not appropriate for children or adolescents.
ADAP is a classroom program that teaches high school-aged students about adolescent depression and mental health.
