Autistic Student Hosting Yoga Fundraiser for Boca HS

Boca Raton Community High School student Michael Gorlano has received so many benefits from the Autism unit at the school, that he has decided to give back. Gorlano is hosting a Yoga for Autism event on Friday, and all of the proceeds will go towards supporting the program.

Gorlano is the first person with autism to receive the 200-hour yoga certification which he earned at his school, in the program led by the instructor Catherine Payne. Gorlano says yoga changed his life and has pledged to share his love of yoga with others.

Friday’s yoga event is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pompano Citi Center located at 2001 N. Federal Hwy. #312. A minimum $10 donation for the class is recommended. To learn more about Gorlano and the yoga program at Boca Raton High School, check out this video from the school’s annual Yoga Day.
