District’s Academic All-Star Team Finishes Fifth in 2022 Florida Commissioner’s Academic Challenge Semifinals
The Palm Beach County School District Academic All-Star Team joined 34 other district teams to compete in the 2022 Florida Commissioner’s Academic Challenge, which took place from March 31 through April 2 in Orlando. With 12 districts competing in Division 1, the PBCSD All-Stars earned fifth place in Division 1 semifinals.
The 2022 All-Star Team included the following students:
• Thomas Cherry – Suncoast Community High
• William Dahlmeier – Suncoast Community High
• Jacob Rothman – Park Vista Community High
• Alexander Stone – West Boca Raton Community High
• Claire Zhao – Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts
Cartier Scott, a mathematics teacher at Suncoast Community High, coached the team that is composed of top-scoring students from each content area. They extend a special thanks to Palm Beach State College for their support.
