During the last week of summer before the start of school, residents of the Four Seasons at Delray Beach community were at Orchard View Elementary School to distribute school supplies to students and families. This is the sixth year in a row that the Four Seasons community has helped a Title I school in the Delray Beach area.

Four Seasons is an active adult community that prides itself on giving back to the city by holding various fundraisers and volunteer activities throughout the year. Over the last six years, Four Seasons has also donated supplies to S.D. Spady and Pine Grove Elementary Schools.

“Our goal is to help as many students as we can in Delray Beach, so that they can have a successful school year,” said Liora Weiner, the Four Seasons Social Director.

Four Seasons donated more than $3,000 in supplies to Orchard View Elementary, including backpacks, paper, notebooks, crayons, scissors, paper, and markers. Families gathered in the school’s Media Center to receive the donations were joined by school staff, and the principal Lisa Lee.

“We want to thank Four Seasons and its residents for thinking about our families,” Lee said. “Our parents are fortunate to receive these donations.”

“I think it is a great initiative,” said Elda Timothée, a mother of two students at the school. “We save money, our children are happy, and now we can concentrate on other things for back to school.”
