Teacher Pay Supplement

Teachers Begin to Receive Pay Supplement
Posted on 08/23/2019

Thanks to Palm Beach County voters, payday just got better for teachers and other District educators in the T-Bargaining unit. In November, voters overwhelmingly approved the District’s referendum which provided a supplemental pay increase for teachers, among other allocations. Those educators receive an annual pay supplement of $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000 based on their years of experience.

Teachers with one through four years of experience receive the $1,000 supplement. Those with five to nine years experience earn a $5,000 supplement.  The most seasoned educators with 10 years or more experience will receive $10,000 each year.

For this school year, the annual supplement is spread across 22 bi-weekly paychecks beginning Friday, August 23, 2019 and ending June 12, 2020.  The annual supplement amounts will be prorated if teachers do not work the entire contract period or if teachers are not full-time.

The referendum will expire after four years and the funding will need to be approved again by voters in 2022.
