The deadline to apply for schools awarded the MSAP (Magnet Schools Assistance Program) grant has been extended.

With a minimum 2.5 GPA, a student can apply for the Sports Management and Recreation Academy at Palm Beach Gardens Community High School, a program that can open the door to an exciting career.

Since August 2009, a Pre-Law Academy has been available to students at Jeaga Middle School. The Academy is a unique and innovative program that allows students to examine the concepts of the American legal system through a collaborative, inquiry-based learning process.

The Academy of Finance at William T. Dwyer High School was established in 1992 as one of the first Magnet Programs in Palm Beach County. It is one of several model programs established to promote educational excellence by the National Academy Foundation.

Students Palm Beach County Schools continue to get SMART-er as the District’s Tech Trailblazer program continues to grow. Since it launched in May of 2017 there are 1,702 Tech Trailblazers with SMART Boards in classrooms around the District.

There is no mistaking the business happening in the fashion design academy at Wellington Community High School. As you enter the classroom, there is a flurry of activity with students measuring, trimming, stitching and most importantly collaborating to bring their designs to life.

Since the 2006-2007 school year, Spanish River Community High School has offered an Entrepreneurship Program to its students, giving them exposure to an assortment of classes including marketing, accounting, and business.

Teams of students from Palm Beach County schools will present their innovative social solutions during a “Shark Tank-style” Philanthropy Tank Pitch Event on Sunday, March 10, and this year, the school with the most attendees at the event will win $1,000.

The Hospitality and Tourism program at Forest Hill Community High School was established in 2004. The program is a college preparatory curriculum that integrates unique high school courses with practical internships and business leadership training.

Crestwood Middle School offers a Pre-Business/Information Technology Academy in an educational setting dedicated to the development of academic, social, and creative skills, with the goal of creating responsible citizens.

Since the 2013-2014 school year, L.C. Swain Middle School has offered a Medical Sciences Academy, a three-year preparatory honors program.

This week, students from Olympic Heights Community High School will compete in the Student Astronaut Challenge State Competition at the Kennedy Space Center.

The School District of Palm Beach County Transportation Services Department is hosting a job fair to hire bus drivers on Thursday, February 7. The job fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3376 Summit Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Individuals with an application in the online application system will receive an interview at the fair.
