Equity and Access

As the School District becomes more focused on equity and resolves to continue prioritizing access for all students, the Office of Professional Growth has created an Equity Resource Center to help educators and administrators have the resources they need to teach and lead for the most equitable outcomes.

The Equity Resource Center website is available to all employees through the District’s HUB and includes a training schedule for leaders in Culturally-Responsive Leadership. The site also has a professional development track for teachers, results of the Educational Equity Audit of the District conducted by the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools, the District’s Equity Implementation Plan, and other valuable resources.

For questions about the materials, policy, or website, contact Carlene Millen – Assistant Superintendent, Department of Professional Growth, or Keasha Starks – Manager, Equity and Access.

The School Board of Palm Beach County is committed to eliminating race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status as predictors for academic outcomes. – Equity Policy 1.041
