Milo Walker, a fifth grade student at Beacon Cove Intermediate School in Jupiter, merged his passions for sports and art in a drawing he submitted to the 2022 Honda Classic Art Contest.

His creation won first place, earning Beacon Cove a $1,000 donation. Walker and his family also won tickets to the upcoming Honda Classic, as well as an opportunity to see his own artwork come to life on the event's kids tickets. He describes himself as a cartoon artist and said he has always wanted to win an art contest.

“It’s great for them to see that I’m a good artist and I just want to share that with other people,” Walker said.

Congratulations as well to the second-place winner, Derrick Perez who earned $500 for his school, Northboro Elementary. The third-place winner, Silvano Jose Jr. from New Horizons Elementary, received $250 for his school.
