On June 30, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) released the FY22 results for the Statewide Science Assessments and Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) EOC assessments for Biology 1, Civics, and U.S. History.

In comparison to FY21, this year’s scores show improvement for District students in both Civics and U.S. History, and exceed State performance in both grade 8 Science and Biology.

The District's Executive Summary provides a look into how District students performed compared with the State and the other large urban school districts. The Summary also includes a listing of individual school scores. Results released on June 28 for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics reinforced the District’s gains, particularly in Mathematics, Algebra 1, and Geometry.

The FLDOE prepared a document that provides an understanding of the 2022 Florida Standards Assessment Scores. Individual scores for students for English Language Arts and Mathematics for grades 3 through 10, Algebra 1, and Geometry EOC are now available in the SIS system, through the student’s District portal and parent login. Science and Social Studies scores, as well as EOC scores for Biology 1, U.S. History, and Civics, will be added during the week of July 4.

District and school leaders will continue to analyze the data provided by the State to develop improvement plans for the 2022-2023 school year.
