A unique Choice and Career Options program available in the School District of Palm Beach County is the Boynton Aerospace Science Academy (BASA) offered at Boynton Beach Community High School.

The BASA is the result of a collaboration between the high school and Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) to create the state-of-the-art curriculum option for students in the District. The BASA includes a rigorous academic program in the fields of aviation, aeronautical science, and aviation maintenance.

Each student has the opportunity to earn dual high school and college credit for the BASA courses taken at the high school. This innovative academy provides students with the latest in educational advancements, current technologies, and crucial job skills as well as instruction from ERAU professors. Students applying to the program must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
