Over the Winter Break, at least 10 District schools received new chillers and air handlers, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! A total of 150 Palm Beach County District Schools are getting these upgrades, thanks to proceeds from the Penny Sales Tax. The equipment will ensure students stay comfortable in their classrooms.
The money for this technology was raised through the Penny Sales Tax, and District schools receive half of the money raised through the Referendum that was approved by voters in 2016. Penny Tax proceeds are earmarked for capital improvements only.
