School Board Approves Employee Pay Raises, Giving Boost to Staff After Challenging Year

The School District of Palm Beach County School Board approved employee pay raises at the January 20 Board meeting. Employees categorized as Non-Bargaining Unit (NBU), including Administrative/Professional and Managerial, Miscellaneous and Confidential, will be granted a 3.5% base salary increase. The motion for employee pay raises passed with a unanimous 7-0 vote.

Additionally, the School Board approved salary increases and revised salary schedules for School-Based Administrators, which includes principals and assistant principals, who will also receive a 3.5% base increase. Their respective salary range minimum increased by 2.5%, while the maximum went up by 3.5%.

At a previous board meeting on January 13, the School Board approved modifications to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Palm Beach County Classroom Teachers Association which stated that all teachers will receive the higher of a minimum of a 3.5% salary increase or the minimum salary of $47,500 per year.

All pay raises are retroactive to July 1, 2020.
