While students and staff were away from the classroom for spring break, construction crews were hard at work completing projects funded by the penny sales tax.
In 2016, voters approved the tax, in which half of the proceeds will benefit capital improvement projects needed around the District.
30 schools including Cypress Trails Elementary, New Horizons Elementary, and Bear Lakes Middle had work done on their campuses.
Projects range in scope; from the renovation of media centers to the installation of new chillers.
