Prior to spring break, the School District of Palm Beach County School Food Service will be distributing grab-and-go pantry-style boxes with eight days worth of breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack items.

The distributions will be on Thursday, March 11 at 140 school sites. The meals are free for all children 18 years of age and younger (22 and younger for ESE).

The child does not have to be present to pick up meals. However, one of the following forms of identification is required to receive meals at the food distribution sites: Student ID Badge, Student Barcode Letter (that can be found in your child’s student portal), Passport, Birth Certificate, or Library Card. The adult picking up the meals can also bring a picture that has themselves and the children for whom they are picking up food, in the photo.

Times and locations for the distributions vary and may be different from the regularly-scheduled weekly food distributions. For everyone's health and safety, a facial covering or mask is required when picking up meals at any school food distribution site.

Before the winter break, more than 1 million meals were distributed, offering important provisions to 15,000 students. Spring Break is March 15-19. There is a Professional Development/Duty Day for teachers and staff on Monday, March 22. As such, there is no school that day.
