School District Needs Your Input

School District Needs Your Input on Future Priorities
Posted on 03/24/2021

The School District of Palm Beach County is listening. Feedback from students, parents, community members, and District employees is needed to help determine priorities for the next Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan is a documented set of goals and strategies developed to ensure excellence and equity in education. The current five-year Strategic Plan launched in 2016, and will sunset later this year.

This next Strategic Plan will build on accomplishments made over the past five years while also establishing goals that will reflect the District’s changing priorities.

In an effort to collect valuable community input in establishing these priorities, the District has launched a Feedback Survey. The short survey consists of six questions and asks for input on what the District should start, stop, or continue prioritizing as the Plan is developed.

“Developing a new plan is a lengthy process which includes soliciting feedback from the entire community,” said Superintendent Donald E. Fennoy II. “I encourage you to become involved in this process by visiting the Strategic Plan Development webpage where you will see a timeline, notifications about upcoming meetings of the District’s Steering Committee, and the survey.”

The survey is open until Friday, April 9 and is available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Portuguese. All results will be shared publicly, although individual responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. Click here to submit your feedback before the survey closes on April 9.

The launch of the survey coincided with the first meeting of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee, a 37-member group tasked with using results from the Feedback Survey to draft goals for consideration in the next Strategic Plan. According to a timeline presented to the School Board on March 3, a new Strategic Plan is expected to come forward for School Board approval in late July. Questions or comments related to the next Strategic Plan can be emailed at any time to [email protected].
