Palm Beach County students were recognized and honored for their plans to enlist in the U.S. Armed Services after graduation.

The 6th Annual “Our Community Salutes” ceremony was held at Boca Raton High School.

A majority of those enlisting, are members of the Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs in the Palm Beach County School District.

JROTC emphasizes skills for life and prepares students for post–high school success. JROTC can help students obtain ROTC scholarships for college or one of the nation’s prestigious military academies. Those who complete two to four years of JROTC may enter the service having already achieved rank that will provide increased pay. All students are mentored so they can achieve their future career goals.
