For the second year in a row, the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County received a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest objective assessor of nonprofit organizations.

The rating is the highest possible ranking an organization can achieve, signifying that the Education Foundation is using contributions in an efficient, appropriate manner, and adhering to the highest standards of accountability and transparency.

“I heartily congratulate the entire board and our dedicated staff. Our board is as engaged as any with whom I have worked,” said James Gavrilos, President and CEO of the Education Foundation. “And I also congratulate the ‘team’. In my years of nonprofit management, this is the best team I have ever worked with. They are the primary reason for our success and are to be commended.”

Attaining a four-star rating confirms that the Education Foundation exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in similar areas of work. Only 32% of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have received at least two consecutive four-star evaluations.

“This exceptional designation...sets Education Foundation of Palm Beach County apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness,” Charity Navigator stated in their formal announcement of the rating.

The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is the philanthropic partner to the School District of Palm Beach County, supporting high-quality public education through partnerships and community collaborations, grants, events, scholarships, and public awareness.
