The World Health Organization designates October 10 as World Mental Health Day to raise awareness about mental health issues across the globe, and organize efforts in support of mental health.

As part of the overall initiative, Palm Health Foundation created Train the Brain, a community health campaign that takes place from October 1-31. The county-wide campaign’s objective is to highlight the importance of taking care of the brain, which is just as important as taking care of the body, as improved brain health leads to better health overall.

The Foundation is encouraging Palm Beach County residents to learn how to feed, nurture, and strengthen their brains while also eliminating activities that can cause the brain stress and ultimately lead to chronic health issues.

This year's Train the Brain campaign theme is "Brain Health in the Workplace." Statistics show that more than 80% of workers suffer from work-related stress, causing significant negative effects to individuals and their organizations.
