2018 Greeting Card Winners

The fourth annual Superintendent’s Greeting Card Contest is now underway and student submissions are currently being accepted. Superintendent Donald E. Fennoy II would like to promote greeting cards showcasing the exceptional artistic talent of District students.

Previous years’ contests generated hundreds of student entries. This year presents another unique opportunity for students to express their creativity and depict their interpretation of the winter season in Florida, the Sunshine State.

The selected artwork will be featured throughout the School District. One winner will be selected from elementary, middle, and high school (for a total of three winners). Additionally, all three winners and their teachers will be formally recognized at the School Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

• The contest is open to all students from K-12 who currently attend a school operated by the School District of Palm Beach County.

• On the back of each submission, include: 1) Student name and grade 2) Art teacher's name 3) Principal's name 4) School name. Do not include this information within the art itself.

• This year’s themes include: Winter in Florida, Season’s Greetings, Happy Holidays, Winter Break Activities, Peace and Goodwill, Family Sharing and colorful abstracts of twinkling lights.

• The media type is open; horizontal or vertical format. No text. If using a delicate medium such as chalk or pastel, please add a cover sheet.

• Each school should select one piece for submission. That selection process shall be at the determination of each individual school site.

• Students can work on 8.5” x 11” copy paper, or paper of higher quality and weight if working with wet mediums.

• Plagiarism of any kind will be grounds for disqualification.

• Artwork cannot contain any religious themes or focus.

• Submissions can be made either by email or through the District’s PONY mail system.
