The Boca Chamber Education Foundation’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), part of the Golden Bell Education Foundation, is now accepting applications for its 2020-2021 virtual program. Middle and high school students will create concepts, and then start their very own business or non-profit organization, under the guidance of local business leaders across South Palm Beach County.

The virtual program meets on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a virtual parent orientation on Wednesday, October 7, from 4:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy provides students in grades 6 through 12 with the knowledge and skills they need to start and run their own business. During the 20 week program duration, participating students work in close collaboration with local industry leaders, community members, and educators to develop life skills, generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, and launch their own companies.

The program culminates with a Shark Tank-style event whereby students pitch their ideas to a panel of investors and ask for funds to support their business venture.
