The African and African American History Infusion Curriculum is a means through which the African and African American experiences and contributions are taught. The curriculum emanates from an African centered perspective, proactively incorporating current ideologies, methodologies and technologies. African and African American men and women have always been a part of the American dream and reality. The didactic goal of teaching students about the rich and abundant heritage of African and African American people is being implemented in K-12 schools throughout the district and across all disciplines as a result of Florida Statute 1003.42(h). Originally enacted in 1994, this legislation provides for the right of all Americans to learn about themselves and other individuals involved in the African saga.
