School Advisory Council (SAC)
The School Advisory Council (S.A.C.) is a resource for the school, its staff, parents, students, the community and administration.
The goals of the SAC: to develop and oversee the implementation of the School Improvement Plan (S.I.P.) that will serve as a framework for school improvement.
A primary function of the SAC is to provide all of the stakeholders with an opportunity to be active participants in the assessment of needs, development of priorities and the identification and use of resources based on an analysis of available school data.
Meetings are held monthly on campus. If you are interested in becoming a voting member, reach out and I can provide further details. The SAC council voting members slate is comprised of 51% non-school staff/49% school staff. Parent/guardians/community members are vital in this process.
If there are no items for voting, the scheduled meeting may be cancelled and updates on school information provided at the next scheduled meeting. In addition, if a quorum is not established by voting members at the start of the meeting, voting items are required to be postponed until an in-person quorum is established. This may be at a special meeting or the next scheduled meeting. If this occurs, the meeting may be adjourned at the discretion of the School Principal or SAC Chair.
Thank you for your support of our school programs.
SAC Chair: Ms. Girtman
