The graduation rate for Palm Beach County’s District-operated schools exceeded the average for the State of Florida, and the six other large urban school districts in 2022, according to the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).
The graduation rate for District-operated schools is 92.8%, an increase over the last comparable year of 2019 when it was 91.6%. Last year it was 95.9%. The decrease in the District’s graduation rate from last year is attributed primarily to the discontinuation of pandemic-related student State testing waivers that were in place in FY20 and FY21.
“I am extremely encouraged by the graduation performance of our Class of 2022, and expressed my gratitude to our dedicated high school principals," Superintendent Mike Burke said. “This graduation rate, when compared to our pre-pandemic rate, should be viewed as a victory, as detailed in the Executive Summary.”
