Summer Food Service Program Will Provide Free Meals to Children 18 and Younger
Posted on 5/25/2023
The School District of Palm Beach County is offering the Summer Food Service Program to provide free, nutritionally-balanced meals to children age 18 and younger. For 2023, the summer program will operate from Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, July 28. Meals will be provided on weekdays during that time period.
Children do not need to be a part of the activity taking place on a campus to receive free meals (e.g., summer camp or summer school). There will be more than 100 school sites open for children to receive breakfast and lunch. In addition to the school sites, lunches and snacks will be available at 20 local libraries. There are multiple ways to find a site:
• View the list of District school sites offering free meals.
• The interactive map available at https://www.summerbreakspot.org/find-location/ will show the breakfast and lunch hours of the District school sites and other locations in the community. Enter your zip code to locate sites near you.
• Dial 2-1-1
• Text “FOOD” or “COMIDA” to 304-304
Please note that meals must be consumed on site, as they will not be packaged or prepared to be distributed for later consumption. Summer menus are available by visiting: https://palmbeachschools.nutrislice.com/. For any questions or more information, please contact Ana Faubla, District School Food Service, at 561-882-1964 or ana.faubla@palmbeachschools.org.
