What is SAC?

The School Advisory Council is a team of people representing various segments of the community: parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business and industry people and other interested community members. (SAC Purpose Presentation) 

We focus on:

• Assisting in preparation and review of the School Improvement Plan and the school’s annual budget.
• Approving our School Improvement Funds to support School Improvement Plan Goals.

When do we meet?

Our SAC meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 3:00 PM in our school's Media Center. All community members, including students, are welcome to attend. (Election Procedures Presentation)

How do you join?

SAC needs you! Become a member of SAC by filling out a membership form at our next meeting. You don't have to attend every meeting, but when you see an item on our agenda that requires a vote, we ask that you make every effort to attend. (SAC Membership Roles Presentation)

Each advisory council shall perform functions prescribed by regulations of the district school board. However, no advisory council shall have any of the powers and duties now reserved by law to the district school board. Each School Advisory Council (SAC) shall assist in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan required pursuant to s. 1001.42(18).
