Consultation services are also provided for teachers, parents, and administrators to assist them in the development and adjustment of programs to meet the needs of all students. In addition, the school psychologist administers comprehensive evaluations or revaluations of intellectual ability personal/ emotional/behavioral adjustment, academic achievement, and learning styles of students referred for eligibility decisions.

The school psychologist functions as a member of the total educational staff, providing services to all schools, usually on an itinerant basis. There are currently 95 school psychology positions in the ESE Department- 9 pre-kindergarten, 14 multicultural, and 7 itinerant.
