Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Programs

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Programs

Florida created the free Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program for all 4-year-olds regardless of family income. VPK prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. The District offers both the school year (part day) VPK program and the Summer (full day) VPK program. Parents may choose to have their child attend one, but not both programs.

Step 1: Obtain a VPK Certificate
Your first step to enroll in a VPK program is to apply for a VPK Certificate for your child online through Florida's Early Learning Family Portal. If you need assistance with your online application, contact Beverly Sears at beverly.sears@palmbeachschools.org or (561) 434-8720. Para obtener ayuda en español, comunìquese con Nelly Cruz al (561) 432-6347 o nelly.cruz@palmbeachschools.org.

Step 2: Choose Your School
Visit the School Sites with VPK Programs to find your child's home school and view the VPK wraparound enrichment program model offered at your school. Schools prioritize enrolling students who are zoned for their schools.
