Enroll 2021-2022 VPK School Year Program

NEW Registration: 2021-2022 School Year (Aug. 10, 2021 to May 26, 2022)


Children who turned 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2021 and are residents of Palm Beach County are eligible to participate.  Parents of children who turn(ed) 4 years of age between February 2, 2022 and September 1, 2022 have a choice of enrollment years.  They  may enroll their children in the 2021-2022 school year or wait until the 2022-2023 school year. 

STEP 1: 

Obtain a VPK Certificate for your child online at https://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com/ or contact the Palm Beach County Early Learning Coalition at 561 514-3300 for assistance.

STEP 2: 

Go to Find My School, put in your home address, and find the name of your zoned elementary school (home school).  Click on each participating schools list in the chart below to determine if your home school offers one of the VPK programs listed in the first column.

Participating Schools



The SDPBC VPK Title I Programs offer free full-day 8:00AM  - 2:00PM (exact times vary) school year Title I prekindergarten programs for students who reside in a Title I school boundary.

The SDPBC VPK Fee Supported Programs prioritize full-day 8:00AM - 2:00PM (exact times vary) school year prekindergarten for students enrolled in the schools’ free VPK programs. Participating parents pay a fee for the full-day program enrichment hours. School Readiness (subsidy) vouchers are accepted for parent fees.

The SDPBC Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide free comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low income children and families. Services are offered year round, from 7:30AM to 5:30PM (exact times vary).  .

Contact a school directly for specific hours of operation and the possible availability of daily extended VPK Wraparound hours from 2:00PM up to 6:00PM, offered at a separate fee.

STEP 3: 

To inquire about openings in the Head Start program, use this online link SDPBC Head Start Application or contact Kathy Harrison at 561 963-3835.


For all other programs, find your school’s phone number on the school website and call to ask about openings. If there is an opening at your selected school, make an appointment with the front desk to bring in your child’s required documentation for enrollment.  When you enroll, you will be asked to select face-to-face brick and mortar instruction or distance learning.  Documentation needed for enrollment includes:

  • VPK Certificate (original)
  • Child's birth certificate 
  • Two proofs of residence (such as a recent utility bill, a lease, or a mortgage statement)
  • Health Exam Form DH 3040 (original, obtained from your child's pediatrician) 
  • Immunization Form DH 680 (original, obtained from your child's pediatrician)
