Family ImPact
Family ImPact
Family ImPACT is a supplemental informational program of parent engagement workshops offered to Adult Education sites. Through a series of hour-long workshops, Adult Learners will gain an understanding of Palm Beach County School District school culture, ideas for better connecting with their K-12 children and their schools and teachers, as well as ways to make their children's learning memorable and fun. We aim to help bridge the gap between home and school by also providing helpful home management tips, parenting strategies and educational and planning tools. Participating sites will have the option to host sessions facilitated by some of our close collaborators: Triple P (parent training and counseling), Nutrition Driven (cooking demos and healthy food and lifestyle education), and financial planners. Presentations and materials are offered in English, Spanish, Creole, and Portuguese, when available. Fun family events and activities will be held at the end of the participating site's series of sessions. Learning materials, books, and games will be distributed to each family.
