Events
November 3–7, 2025, The School District of Palm Beach County commemorated Holocaust Education Week, as required by Florida Statute 1003.42(g). This annual observance aligns with the anniversary of Kristallnacht (November 9–10, 1938), marking the beginning of the Holocaust.
Each year, all Florida public schools are required to include instruction on Holocaust education that focuses on the systematic, state-sponsored annihilation of European Jews and addresses antisemitism and its prevention.
This year’s Holocaust Education Week theme in Palm Beach County is helping students understand the difference between a bystander and an upstander and the importance of standing up for friends, classmates, and community members, including Jewish people and others who may be different from them.
Lessons and resources have been designed to be age-appropriate and aligned across all grade levels.
