Support Services Dashboard

The School District of Palm Beach County is committed to the education and well-being of all children in our community. The Support Services Dashboard provides vital insights into the needs of our students, focusing on areas such as housing insecurity, hunger relief, academic performance, attendance, and discipline issues. Our community partners play a crucial role in helping our students overcome socio-economic challenges through initiatives like hunger relief programs, community clothing closets, hygiene kits, school gardens, and school supplies. These efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of our students.

This comprehensive Support Services Dashboard is designed to help stakeholders understand where support is needed most and how they can make a meaningful impact.

Hunger Relief - this dashboard provides information on hunger relief programs (backpack and/or food pantry) and the hunger relief agencies that are servicing our students per school.

Homeless Students - this dashboard provides information regarding the number of homeless students per school. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act defines children and youth without a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence as homeless. Due to housing instability and economic hardship, if a child or youth resides in a shelter, hotel, vehicle, or campground, sleeps on the streets, in abandoned buildings, or temporarily with relatives, or friends, they are eligible for educational services provided under the McKinney-Vento Act. This program addresses the challenges that homeless children and youth face in enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school. Under this federal law, state educational agencies must ensure that every homeless child and youth has equitable access to the same free and appropriate public education, including public preschool, as their peers.

Garden Status - this dashboard provides information on each school’s garden status and types.

Information on the Support Services Dashboard can be viewed by region, municipalities, school levels, and more. Please note that data is suppressed (blank information will appear on the table view) for groups smaller than 10.  The data is updated daily.

Watch the tutorial video below for guidance on navigating and using the Support Services Dashboard.
