Secondary 6-12 Program
Palm Beach Virtual School (PBVS) offers courses on an individual full-time or part-time basis during the traditional school year calendar (August to May). PBVS is your in-district virtual option for part-time courses, available through our Franchise courses in the FLVS® Flex platform and Edgenuity Virtual Academy.
PBVS Franchise (FLVS Flex Platform)
PBVS is a county virtual franchise of FLVS. Courses are taken in the Flex platform, with curriculum created by FLVS and taught by Palm Beach teachers. Full-time and part-time students can enroll in the Franchise.
Best For: Students who prefer to self-navigate lessons and discuss content with a teacher through Discussion-Based Assessments.
Teacher Support: Taught by Palm Beach County district teachers using the flex platform.
Your in-district virtual option offers multiple layers of local student support:
- Florida Certified Palm Beach County teachers.
- Teacher availability Monday-Friday 8 a.m - 8 p.m. by phone, text, and email
- Courses are NCAA and Bright Futures approved.
Enrollment Steps
- Follow the Step-by-Step Franchise Enrollment Instructions.
- Log in or create a student account by clicking the 'Enroll Now' link on the County Virtual School Enrollment page.
- Select County: Palm Beach | Student Type: Choose Public, Home, Private, or Charter school.
- Course Approval Needed: The school counselor (or the parent for Home Education) must approve the courses before they can be assigned.
PBVS Edgenuity Virtual Academy (EVA)
Edgenuity Virtual Academy (EVA), through Imagine Learning, offers original credit courses designed to provide a structured learning experience. Using interactive tools and engaging multimedia to help students build essential skills and content knowledge. Part-time students can enroll in EVA.
Best For: Students who prefer video-recorded teacher instruction and a structured learning path with built-in supports like translation, read-aloud, and guided notes.
Teacher Support: Taught by Edgenuity Imagine Learning teachers; program administered through Palm Beach Virtual School.
Multiple layers of student support are built in:
- Certified virtual teachers are available from M-F from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm by phone, text, and email.
- Concept Coaches (tutors) are available for immediate tutoring M-S from 8:00 am - 11:00 pm.
- Success Coaches (progress/success support)
Enrollment Steps:
- Follow the Step-by-Step EVA Enrollment Instructions.
- Log in or create a student account on the Palm Beach Virtual School - Student Account Creation page.
- Select the District Program as Home Education or Supplemental grade level.
- Complete required fields (highlighted in yellow): Refer to the student for Basic Information & Contact Information, Academic Information, and provide parent/guardian information in the Guardians Section.
- Course Approval: The school counselor or Home Education department will approve your child's course requests.
