How to Apply to Palm Beach Virtual School Full-Time

Virtual education is one of the many choice options available to K-12 students throughout The School District of Palm Beach County. Through Palm Beach Virtual School, eligible K-12 students take part in fully accredited learning experiences guided by Florida certified teachers.

The enrollment windows for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

  • K-5 full-time is open April 14, 2025 through July 15, 2025
  • 6-12 full-time is open April 14, 2025 through August 15, 2025

PBVS full-time provides a fully accredited, online, public school education option for students in Palm Beach County. Students complete online/virtual classes from home, from August to June, and follow Palm Beach County School District calendar.

Palm Beach Virtual School is a full-time Palm Beach County choice public school program.

Key Requirements:

  • State Assessments: Students in grades K-12 are required to participate in mandatory state standardized assessments.  In April/May, these occur in-person for grades 3-8 Math, 3-10 ELA, EOC for M/J Civics, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, US History, and FCLE for Government.
  • Weekly Progress: Students must consistently meet weekly activity and assignment deadlines as set by the school.
  • Full-Time Commitment: Students must be prepared to dedicate approximately 4-6 hours daily to self-directed coursework while maintaining a full course load as determined by the school.
  • Parent/Guardian Support: A responsible adult at home must be available to monitor student progress and provide support.
  • Orientation: Eligible students and a parent/guardian must attend a mandatory in-person orientation session in late July/early August.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Students must meet specific eligibility criteria
