Application and Audition Process

Application

Students may apply online at www.mypbchoiceapp.com during the published application dates. Student applying to a school program requiring auditions for eligibility will be scheduled for an audition by the school(s) in which they have applied. Applicants must meet all residency and academic admission requirements (if applicable) to be considered in the random lottery selection process. Continue to check your application portal and e-mail communications for any updates regarding your application status. **Due to factors impacting school enrollment, scheduling, course progression, and staffing, choice seats may not be allocated or available in all grade levels. 

Auditions

After the application deadline, the individual Arts schools will communicate with parents regarding the audition date and time. On the day of the scheduled audition, students and parents will report to the school and follow instructions provided by the school. Please visit each school’s website for specific information regarding auditions.

Lottery

In preparation for the Choice lottery, the Choice coordinator will provide eligibility information for each student who auditioned. Eligible applicants (students who received an eligible audition score and met the academic admission requirements (if applicable), will be considered in the random lottery selection.

Late Applications

Late applications will be accepted March 30, 2026 to May 1, 2026; however, they are not considered in the Choice lottery that takes place in March 2026.
