Badging

The Palm Beach County School District Police Department is responsible for the production of
the School District’s identification badges and access cards. After an employee has been
fingerprinted and cleared by HR Operations Fingerprinting, School Police will
produce the identification badge/access card. Please see below for specific information:

NEW HIRES

HR Operations clears an employee for hire and creates a “Job Data” screen in PeopleSoft
School Police is notified daily with a query of the new “Job Data” screens
Badges are printed a day or two after a name appears on the nightly query
- If a photo does not transfer into our system, a Badging Unit employee will email the new hire requesting a photo.
Badges can not be printed until we receive the photo
Badges are delivered to the employee’s work site on a regular basis
If a badge has not been delivered 7 days after an employee has started working, please email identification@palmbeachschools.org

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS/TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES

New substitute teachers will pick up their badges in Human Resources
Temporary employees will have badge delivered to work site
Renewals are processed through HR Operations, email fingerprinting@palmbeachschools.org
After clearance, School Police is notified to print a badge if required
Substitute teachers need to pick up the badge in our office
- FHESC, Building E, Suite 50-115, between 0730 – 1545 hours

REPLACEMENT BADGES FOR CURRENT EMPLOYEES

Employees who have lost or broken their badges should order a replacement badge through PeopleSoft Self Service → My Personal Information → Replacement Badge Application
Payroll deduction of $10 for the replacement
Employees may receive an email from identification@palmbeachschools.org asking for a photo or a clarification question regarding the replacement
Badges will be delivered to the work site after it is printed

CONTRACTOR/VENDOR

Contractors and vendors are cleared by HR Operations
- If the school is contracting with a contractor/vendor, the school or the contractor/vendor should contact HR Operations for fingerprinting information
School Police is notified daily with a cleared contractor/vendor query
Contractors and vendors will be emailed by School Police when the badge is ready for pick-up and will need to pick up the badge in our office
