SPIRIT OF JUPITER MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS

Uniform Items provided by school:
- Green JHS garment bag – provided to new members as part of Fair Share, used to store and transport competition uniform
- Shako (hat) – provided by school, keep in plastic box
- Plume – provided by school at performances
- Jacket – provided by school, kept in garment bag
- Bibbers (overall pants) – provided by school, kept in garment bag
- Show Top – customized yearly for each show; provided by school, kept in garment bag
- Show Shirt- t-shirt specific to current year’s show; one shirt provided by school as part of Fair Share and extras can be purchased from the uniform chairperson at Monthly band parent meetings
- Casual Green SOJ Shirt-Collared shirt provided as part of Fair Share; additional shirts available for purchase if necessary

- Socks (black calf-length socks) – must be purchased by student from any store
- Gloves – 2-3 pairs of black gloves must be purchased by students through the school, keeping a new spare pair in the garment bag for backup; battery, and pit/front ensemble students do not wear gloves as part of their uniform
Marching Band Uniform Contract acknowledging responsibility for care of the uniform for the year will be provided to students when uniforms are distributed at the beginning of the marching band season.
Marching Band Uniform Care Instructions are provided when uniforms are distributed.
Color Guard Uniforms
The Color Guard marching band uniform consists of:
- Green JHS garment bag – provided to new members as part of Fair Share, used to store and transport competition uniform
- Costume – custom ordered through band and purchased by student
- Performance shoes – custom ordered through band and purchased by student
- Undergarments (compression shirt/shorts for boys and body tight for girls) – custom ordered through band and purchased by student
- Ever Dri Gloves – custom ordered through band and purchased by student
- Show shirt – t-shirt specific to current year’s show; one shirt provided by school as part of the Fair Share and extras can be purchased from the uniform chairperson
Jazz Ensemble Uniforms
The Jazz Ensemble wears more informal concert attire. All Jazz Ensemble members are expected to purchase all parts of the uniform.
