Cholee Lake Elementary School offers an exciting Spanish Dual Language program! Our program allows native English speakers to acquire the Spanish language and native Spanish speakers to acquire the English language. Our students learn 50% of the day in each language.

Students in dual language programs outscore their peers in English only programs, develop the second language with native-like fluency, and enhance critical thinking skills. In recent studies, higher levels of bilingual proficiencies were associated with higher levels of reading achievement.

The goal of our program is to create an environment that promotes equity and positive cross-cultural attitudes while students become bilingual and bi-literate; thus laying the groundwork for future success in the international marketplace.
