Carver Middle is an IB World School, with  AVID and STEM-infused programs, and a Pre-Information Technology Academy.

Carver Middle School welcomes you and your family to come visit us. At Carver, we are committed to providing all students with an engaging and personalized experience that prepares them for high school and beyond. Our Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) focused International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme offers students a rigorous program of learning through collaborative, interdisciplinary and project-based curricula.

The aim of all International Baccalaureate Programmes is to develop internationally-minded people. Carver students have opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, to build 21st century skills through multi-subject units of study and a school-wide community project. We also utilize the AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) model to focus our instruction with college and career in mind, giving our students the dynamic pairing of the globally focused IB framework and the practical application of AVID.

Carver is one of the first middle schools in Palm Beach County to offer one-to-one iPads for each and every student. Students manage their careers at Carver through a digital portfolio that follows them to high school. This extends the experience of the students in our Pre-Information Technology Academy.

Pre-IT provides students with innovative interactive technology. The curriculum is designed to provide students with hands-on lessons with computer software and hardware. Our classes infuse project-based lessons to facilitate hands-on practice of knowledge gained in the classroom. The Design Cycle is used in all MYP technology-related learning. These stages are designed to give students a process that they can count on for approaching and tackling any endeavor thoroughly and successfully. The four stages are: INVESTIGATE, PLAN, CREATE, and EVALUATE.

In addition to the implementation of personal technology, Carver also offers:

Language Acquisition (French/Spanish) leads to high school credit
    Algebra I/Geometry (high school credit)
    Physical Science-high school credit

    Video Game Design & Coding
    Robotics/Web Design
    Industry Certification-Earn High School Credit
