Jennifer Gonzales - Christa McAuliffe Middle School
2023-2024 Volunteer Coordinator of the Year

This year’s winner can always be counted on to help. It all started when she was a parent at Christa McAuliffe Middle School. She became a day-to-day substitute before joining the team full-time as an office clerk. Now, she is not only the school’s Data Processor, she is the Volunteer Coordinator, the SAC Chairperson, and the PTSA President. If that isn’t enough, she is the coach for the girls’ softball and basketball teams, and she is the bowling coach! She was also the Five Star Coordinator, maintaining that award for many years. Her time and talents have benefitted this school immensely. She is selfless, generous and giving. It is the District’s great honor to give this award to Jennifer Gonzalez from Christa McAuliffe Middle School.

Jennifer’s principal, Mr. Dwight Graydon, says that this award is a testament to Jennifer’s exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and profound impact on the school community. Whether Jennifer is organizing fundraisers, coordinating community service projects, planning dances, or fostering a culture of service and compassion among the students, Jennifer’s commitment to serving others is truly commendable. The school is incredibly grateful for her commitment and this prestigious achievement is a reminder of the significant impact that she has made.

The District Volunteer Coordinator, Stacey Oak, adds that Jennifer is always on time with deadlines, whether for the Florida Department of Education or the School District of Palm Beach County. Jennifer is an amazing person and Stacey is happy to congratulate her on being the Palm Beach County School District’s 2023-2024 Volunteer Coordinator of the Year.
