Welcome from the PYP Magnet Coordinator

  • As educators in the 21st Century, we prepare and provide our students with a long-term vision of learning. We provide our students with the tools and skills for lifelong learning and for real-life situations.

In our school we offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), which is designed for students between the ages of 3 and 12 years. It is an international, transdisciplinary programme designed to foster the development of the whole child, not just in the classroom, but also within the school and wider community. The PYP focuses on the total growth of the developing child, touching hearts as well as minds, and encompassing social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs, in addition to academic welfare.

We believe that good schools everywhere, and particularly international schools which serve children who come from many different cultural backgrounds, must focus on the larger outcomes of education. These are the development of skills and attitudes, which we would hope to find in a well-balanced, self-motivated, caring and ethical individual living and working in different cultures and communities.

    Regards,
    Mrs. Bernadette Beneby-Coleman,
    Magnet Coordinator.
