  • Afterschool Program Registration Opens on April 3 for 2023-2024 School Year

    The School District of Palm Beach County offers high-quality afterschool programs that meet the fundamental needs of students during out-of-school time. Our programs provide a safe, secure environment in which children can be involved in wholesome, enriching activities that deliver meaningful out-of-school time experiences.

    Once a contract request has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the afterschool director. Submitting a contract request does not guarantee enrollment into a program. Acceptance into an afterschool program is determined by the number of slots available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon approval of your contract request, you will be notified via email. Sites will notify any parent who is on the waitlist, by May 19, 2023.

    There is a $25 registration fee for elementary afterschool programs. Parents will be required to submit the registration fee when they are notified that their Eleyo enrollment contract request has been accepted. Payment can be made online through Eleyo, or in person at the school site by check, or money order. Any parent whose child is not currently enrolled in a District-operated program should contact the school site's afterschool director for information on how to create an Eleyo account.

    Afterschool registration for students entering kindergarten will take place separately, at schools’ annual Kindergarten Round Up. Parents should contact the school directly to find out the date for its Kindergarten Round Up and kindergarten afterschool registration.

    School District employees with children enrolled in K-5 afterschool programs are eligible for a 25% tuition discount. To receive the discount, employees must submit Form PBSD 2476 Employee Verification for Afterschool Programs. Employees can submit the form, starting on July 1, 2023. The deadline for submission is August 31, 2023 for the discount to begin on September 1, 2023.

    Forms received after August 31, 2023 will be processed as of the date submitted by the employee, with the discount beginning the following month. Please note that employees must fill out a new form EACH school year for EACH child enrolled in an afterschool program. Discounts do NOT rollover from year to year.
