Glade View Elementary has implemented a unified (mandatory) dress code which all students are expected to adhere to throughout the school year.

Shirts

• Polo Type Shirts
• solid colors (gold, yellow, green, white and GVE shirts)
• Any Solid Color Polo Type Shirt may be worn on FRIDAYS only.

Shorts/Pants/Skirts/Jumper

• khaki, dark blue, black, gray or green.
• Belts are required if shorts or pants have belt loops.
• Jeans may be worn on FRIDAYS only. (No ripped/distressed jeans allowed)
• Pants/shorts must be worn at the waist - no undergarments should be visible.

Shoes

• Appropriate shoes are required. Shoes with metal attachments, flip-flops, jellies, crocs, thongs, open toe or high heels are not to be worn to school. 
• Sneakers are required for PE class weekly. 
• Socks must be worn at all times.

Accessories

• Dangling earrings are not to be worn as they are dangerous during play.
• Hats, scarves, or bandanas are not to be worn to school.
• Students are not allowed to wear clothing, jewelry, buttons, haircuts or other items or markings which are offensive, suggestive or indecent, associated with gangs, encourage the sale of drugs, alcohol, or violence, or support discrimination on the basis of age, color, disability, national origin, marital status, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
