When will the programs start?
The Before School Program began on August 15, 2022, and the After School programs start on August 29, 2022. Application forms will be available in the Main Office throughout the school year and on the website. Applications must be approved before students can participate in any Before and After School Program activities.

When do the programs meet?
CMS After School Program operates Monday-Thursday from (4:15 pm- 5:45 pm) while the Before School Program operates Monday -Friday from (7:45 am to 8:45 am). Students should NOT arrive on campus prior to this time. There will be NO supervision. The Before and After School program will be held throughout the 2022/23 school year excluding holidays and professional development days (PDD).

Where do the programs meet?
Students participating in the Before School Program will report to the After School Program office in room 5-119. All After School Programs participants will report to the cafeteria at the end of the school day. Staff members will then pick up students from the cafeteria and accompany the students to their assigned meeting areas. Students attending the After School Program are expected to arrive in the cafeteria by 4:15 pm. Students participating in Before School Program are expected to arrive in the cafeteria by 8:30 am.

What do the programs cost?
Carver Middle School Before and After School Program offers free services to all CMS students; however, program availability is limited.

Do I need to supply a snack for my child?
No, snacks and drinks will be provided each day that the After School Program is in session.

Does my child need to attend the Morning / After School program each day it is in session?
No, they do not. As long as they have a completed and approved registration form on file they may attend as few or as many days as you choose.

When do I pick up my child from the After School program?
Students must be picked up from the After School program at any time before 5:45 pm. They are not required to stay until 5:45 pm. You may choose a time that is convenient for your schedule. If you choose to pick your student up early; the student must be properly signed out by an authorized individual.

Where do I pick up my child from the After School program?
Your child will need to be signed out and picked up from the main office. Parent/Guardian will complete and submit the “MSAS Afterschool Student Pick-Up” form, for each student being picked up daily.

I cannot pick up my child from the After School Program by 5:45 pm. What are my options?
If your child is assigned to a bus for the regular school day he/she will be eligible to ride the afternoon activity bus. The activity bus departs campus at approximately 5:45 pm each day. Please see the activity bus schedule for drop-off locations. They are NOT the same as the regular afternoon stops. If your child is not assigned to a bus for the regular school day or does not board the activity bus, he/she is considered to be a walker or bike rider. He/she will be dismissed from campus at 5:45 pm each day. -
