  • We'll keep you "in the know" with our upcoming events section!

Please check out our SY24 Title I Newsletter - October 2023 Edition. This newsletter provides you with information about our school initiatives this school year. The newsletter contains important information and attachments on the following Title I topics. Additionally, please check your child’s backpack for flyers pertaining to the information listed below:

Out-of-field Notification Letters will be distributed this month to specific students and families.

Three Parent Virtual Night Events: SY24 CMS Parent Assessment Workshops - We will review the test design, student achievement levels, FAST portal platform, share, and provide content area strategies that can help improve student outcomes.

Science Fair: We will host our annual Science Fair to display the experimental analysis design of our students from grades 6th -8th.

Approaching Diagnostic Information: Your child will be completing their winter diagnostics during the month of December 2023 - January 2024. Please view the document attached to learn assessment color-coded levels and student achievement level descriptions for the USA test and Spring Florida statewide assessments.

2nd Quarter/2nd 9 Weeks: SIS Parent Gateway Information - The SIS Parent Gateway flyer attached will provide you with a user-friendly pathway to monitor your child’s grades, behavior, and assessment results.

AVID Binder Check: As an AVID site of distinction, it is imperative that our students come to school prepared with their materials, Chromebook, and AVID binder to keep their workload organized. Maintaining the AVID binder reinforces the organizational skills needed for students to successfully manage a 6-course load day.

Free Afterschool Tutorial Schedule: Please view the tutorial schedule that is being implemented Mondays - Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Encourage your child to participate to reap the benefits of receiving assistance with concepts taught throughout the school day, homework, and test-taking strategies.

Pull-Outs/In-School Tutorials will start in January to assist students during an elective block at least twice a week to promote student growth within selected content areas. Information will be forthcoming. :)
