Meet the Counselors

  • 6th Grade Counselor
    Mrs.Trujillo
    Mrs. Trujillo has lived in Florida for the past 30 years, but she is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Secondary English Education and also from Florida Atlantic University with a M.Ed in School Counseling.  Prior to becoming a school counselor, Mrs. Trujillo taught English, ESOL and SEL courses to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Mrs. Trujillo is passionate about helping students recognize their talents and develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

    Mrs. Connors
    Mrs. Connors is originally from Washington State.  She graduated from Montana State University (Bozeman, MT) with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education and from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) with a M.Ed in School Counseling.  She has been in education as a teacher and school counselor for over 20 years.  Mrs. Connors' main motivation as a school counselor is to build relationships and advocate for all students in their social/emotional learning, career choices, and when making personal decisions.

    8th Grade Counselor
    Mrs. Soto-Coleman
    Ms. Soto-Coleman was raised in New York City. She received her Bachelor of Science from Buffalo State College and Master of Education from Queens College. Ms. Soto-Coleman has been a School Counselor for over 20 years. She enjoys the privilege of listening to students' experiences and planting seeds that impact our students’ future.
