Dress Code

    Lanyards and ID’s must be worn around the neck at all times during the school day and on bus

    Monday - Thursday Dress Code

    Pants

    • Sweatpants, joggers, leggings, yoga pants and palazzo pants are approved
    • Distressed material on pants/shorts/skirts must be below finger tips when standing
    • No pajama pants

    Shirts/Tops

    • Approved Shirts/Tops – Shirts must have a collar with buttons or be a JMS-issued t-shirt
    • Sweatshirts and hoodies are approved as tops. Zip-up hoodies must have a school-approved top under it or be worn completely zipped
    • Shirt must cover midriff
    • No pictures, symbols, signs, or writing larger than a pocket-sized logo; no drugs, alcohol, or other inappropriate references allowed

    Shorts

    • All shorts must be at least fingertip length when standing
    • Shorts must fit appropriately

    Dresses/Skirts

    • Must fit appropriately
    • Dresses must be one piece with collar and sleeves
    • Distressed material on must be below finger tips when standing
    • Dress/skirt length must be at least fingertip length when standing

    Footwear

    • No open-toed shoes/slides or bedroom shoes
    • No platforms or heels greater than 2 inches

    Friday Dress Code

    • Students may wear college t-shirts or non-school t-shirts deemed appropriate
    • Shorts, pants, and skirts rules remain the same as Monday through Friday
    • Shirt must cover midriff

    • Jupiter Middle School Student Dress Code adheres to the School District of Palm Beach County (SDPBC) Policy 5.182 which identifies SDPBC requirements for a District-wide Student Dress Code and identifies guidelines and attire which is not permitted in any SDPBC schools.
