Choice Programs

  • Jupiter Middle School offers a wide variety of Choice Programs which support a student's growth academically.  Our programs provide students with the opportunities to participate in the arts, discover their talents, and explore their interests while focusing on academic rigor. These programs provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers while supporting their academic growth in all classes.

    Multimedia, Music and Communications

The Multimedia, Music and Communications Academy is an umbrella academy which provides students the opportunity to select from the following programs when accepted into this academy: Multimedia (Technology), Music (Band or Chorus) or Communications (Journalism).  The courses develop a wide range of skills for students, ranging from creativity to computer programming.

    Pre-Culinary Arts

The Pre-Culinary Arts program is a preparatory program for middle school students designed to encourage and prepare students for entry into high school culinary arts career academies or related fields of study.  Areas of study include nutrition, safety and sanitation, culinary terminology, small and large equipment usage and food preparation for small to large groups. Opportunities to learn both front and back-of-the-house operations are built into all years of the curriculum.

    Pre-Engineering (Gateway to Technology)

Our Pre-Engineering Academy is a cutting–edge program that addresses the interests and energy of middle school students, while incorporating national standards in math, science and technology. The program is team and heavily focused on project-based learning in order to incorporate real world problem-solving activities. The instructional units excite and motivate students to use their imagination and teaches them to be creative and innovative, while honing skills needed to develop, iterate and produce products and services which support, sustain and grow our local and global communities.

    Pre-Medical Sciences

The Pre-Medical Sciences program is a three-year preparatory honors program for middle school students that emphasizes science, math, and language skills while preparing students to be highly competitive in the medical field. The courses offered include Orientation to Health Occupations, Exploration of Health Science Professions & Career Planning, and Medical Skills and Services.  Students who participate in this program are well-prepared for high school medical programs and medical education programs continuing beyond high school.
